  • Hey everybody- they bought this puma in poor condition from a petting zoo and nursed it back to health. That's why it's so relaxed. He trusts his people.

    • @Parma zyxwvu I've watched Messi with other animals, and his brother Ares & there's a marked difference in their body language and behaviour. Ares practises play hunt and pounce behaviour on other animals which we all know is practice for the real thing. Messi allows a dog to climb all over him and quite forcefully pull at his soft throat with their teeth which is a massively vulnerable area on any animal, for which you'd expect swift, defensive behaviour. Not Messi tho - once he had enough all he did was plonk one paw on them. I've said before but I'm not sure Messi realises he's a big cat at all.

    • Another reason for Messi's behavior and why he would never be able to survive in the wild is that in the wild, the cub would spend its first 2 years of life with its mother and the mother would teach it how to be a cougar/puma and how to hunt,etc. The now 2 year old puma would leave the mother and go off and establish its own territory... Messi was born in captivity at a zoo in Sasha and Masha's town and then was sold by the zoo to a petting zoo where they met Messi and purchased him... And the rest is history...

    • @Parma zyxwvu There's a video where Sasha brought home a live sturgeon and put in a bathtub full of water and Messi did not know what to do with the fish... He tried to play with it while avoid getting wet and he had no predatory instinct and didn't recognize the fish as food... And very recently, there's another video where Sasha is walking Messi after dark in a snow covered field and Messi does catch and eat a mouse or other rodent... Hmm...

    • @@manuela_esse the first apartment I lived in on my own required I declaw my cat. I did research and found a federal circuit court case striking down declawing and debarking as requirements for renting. I was able to fight the requirement. I also put the top most finger joint in a sharp pair of scissors and tried to cut the tip off to demonstrate how declawing is down. Scared my building manager.

    • A cats toenails are sensitive, and if you cut too far into the "quick" it will hurt very very much. You have to be very careful not to do that when trimming any cats claws.

    • I don't see why it should be hard to believe. If you saw the video of them putting him through dog obedience school, and the videos of them giving him a bath, you know he is well trained, and well disciplined and in control of his behavior.

    • Liz S even if he doesn’t get where the blood area is at, clipping like that can twist the nail and cause it to bruise. There is a nail file thing made for dogs and cats that reduces the nails by polishing them to the bottom of the nail bed. It’s safer and more efficient. Also you said, it is not wrong to do it the wrong way? I’m not sure if you caught the mistake there?

    • NS R ah yes I meant **its not wrong if you cut it the right way** I recently started cutting my cat’s nails and I did it a similar way that the man did it to that big cat and my vet said it’s safe.. but I guess the way you described it does seem safer

    • @@nsr5961 what? Thats the right way to trim the nails, even the vet told so..why would the nails become twisted? Nails are not a soft thing that you just can twist. anyway polishing takes forever, cats get annoy real fast

  • A shared bond from when the Cougar was young, love respect and trust!! Wonderful to see and such a stunning majestic cat, so relaxed letting him cut his nails!! If I remember the story the Cougar was saved by you from a very young age and wouldn't of survived so credit to you for saving him, your a wonderful human sir 😎😎

    • Немного Разумный Гитлер у котика проблемы не с генетикой, а со здоровьем из-за неправильного питания и неподходящих условий для роста организма в контактном зоопарке. Благодаря Саше и Маше, Месси стал более здоровым и крепким котом, а самое главное счастливым!)
