Tanay Verma in Russia you can pretty much have any animal as a pet, as long as your documents are in order and you prove that you can support said animal (like diet for example) It's not encouraged. It's mostly the case for rescued animals. There aren't shops that sells wild animals. Sometimes if wild animal is injured for example, it's overstays and can't be released into the wild cause it's not afraid of humans. Or bear cub was rescued when someone finds him with his dead mother, so he grow up with humans and again can't survive in the wild. So that law that allows any animal to be a pet, in private possession of someone, was made for these examples. Ofc there are exotic animal enthusiasts here. But as long as they obey the law what's the harm? Animals are well treated, well fed, etc

You will hear Messi’s owner talk about their journey with the puma & that fact that they sought out a professional big cat trainer to prepare the puma for docile behavior. The puma was trained to react to certain touches & positions through training so that the puma will be easier to for veterinary care. A house would be able learn these behaviors too with a professional trainer.

Нее, я своей кошке уши лечила - она неприятно прищуривалась, но терпела спокойно :) и в нос ей капать пришлось однажды, потому что она простыла. Сначала она отбивалась, хуже Месси, а потом сама приходила и просила капнуть - понимала, что это ей помогает. А кота вообще лечить было просто - он однажды очень сильно поранил спину - я его и перекисью, и зеленкой, и левосином мазала, и бинтовала, а он просто лениво лежал и мурчал. Но да, тут всегда очень много доверия должно быть.. Ну и характер кошек тоже нельзя со счетов спускать :)
У меня тоже спокойная кошечка,но не настолько.
Но Месси не просто КОТ, а ОЧЕНЬ большой и СИЛЬНЫЙ кот с большими клыками и когтями (хотя и подстриженными).

Even how he reacts to the nose drops that he clearly does not enjoy, he takes in stride without lashing out. A house cat would have its claws out at the first attempt to apply. The most Messi does is to try to turn his head away, but not an inkling of anger in him. The relationship that you folks have with this animal is so rare. Your videos really help to cheer one up.
But we cannot blame the house cat. That is going to be a natural reaction. You might do the same thing if you were an animal. Little kids do the same thing. Messi is very calm.

I was advised by a vet to go behind any animal when doing something to their front end.....straddle their back, stroke their head and apply meds from the side. I suppose its so they can't get at you the same if they're angry. 😁💕💖
Thanks, Ive been told that, but cats are fast squirmy and flexible. But definitely the best way to try and apply meds.

There is probably not other puma like Messi! His patience! That cat has claws and teeth to give any human a quick end, but he just remains calm...like understanding it is all for his own good. But then again, his "parents" show him love all the time and love is a universal language. I LOOOVE his eyes!
