Я считаю очень хорошо , что первый контакт произошел так экспромтом. Если бы заранее его готовили - то кошки чувствовали бы напряжение и все могло пройти не так гладко. А тут они были заняты взаимодействием с хозяином и в первую очередь смотрели на его реакцию. Кошки чувствуют эмоции. Саша вы большой молодец, выдавали эмоцию очень верную - уверенную власть и контроль и в тоже время добрый смех когда Герда, ещё не совсем уверенная в вашем праве командовать вышла из вольера. При этом ваше спокойствие решило дальнейшую ситуацию. Думаю безпрекословное повиновение Месси стало для Герды неким примером и она спокойно без указаний вернулась в вольер. Герда очень умна и дама до кончиков когтей. Так быстро и красиво показать Масяну ответочку. Вышла тут же и сразу, спокойно сделала кружок и гордо ушла домой. При этом оба остались довольны, и стали играться каждый у себя. Видимо обе кошки чувствовали себя победителями. И опять таки из-за правильного поведения Саши и Маши после события. Маша умничка полная поддержка Саши и позитив в эмоциях и лучший репортаж в прямом эфире.

Gerda was trying to play and Messi panicked when he skidded and almost fell. I had to do a paw-by-paw analysis to figure out WTH happened - posted in the pinned English section (after 1/4 speed replays) 😉 Upon Gerda’s first paw smack 1:28:26, Messi looked ok (plane ears) and dove at the ball to play. It was the third extended-paw smack 1:28:30 that sent his butt sliding and he hissed at her. She was taken aback. She tried to play again but he swiped fiercely at 1:28:42, then she sniffed or booped him at 1:28:50 and he swiped again - she was totally taken aback. She seems more curious about Messi than anything else. She seemed laid back about him walking around in her space - and looked very pleased exploring the yard. They’ve been playing alongside the wire mesh, exposing bellies, showing off etc. They just need to establish rules of contact sports 😆

Gerda didn't show any sign of hostility like hissing, showing her teeth and jumping on her front paws, she was checking Messi out but Messi clearly didn't want her near him. Messi was more interested in her enclosure than Gerda herself, when Gerda suddenly approached him from the back he quickly ran away and was scared of her, Gerda playfully (I think) teased him with her front paw but Messi replied by telling her to "back away, stop chasing and following me around!" But yes, Messi wasn't as comfortable as Gerda and probably felt threatened whenever she's near him.

Messi's paw can deliver a wallop that would stun prey or an intruding cougar... And Messi weighs 100-102 pounds ! In a recent video when Sasha tales Messi to the vet... He advises the vet and vet techs that Messi's tail "feels like a rubber club" when he wags it in defense and Sasha holds it down...
